Navigating the Ocean of Life

Life often feels like a vast ocean, brimming with knowledge, experiences, and truths waiting to be uncovered. In our daily routines, we tend to focus on small, tangible discoveries—like a boy collecting smooth pebbles or pretty shells along the shore. Yet, a pressing question lingers: How do we navigate this ocean of knowledge while managing our responsibilities, all the while striving to uncover deeper truths? At the heart of Hindu Vedanta lies a profound question that transcends time and culture: "Who am I?" This inquiry goes beyond mere academic curiosity; it invites us to explore our true nature and the essence of existence. I understand that Atman, or our individual soul, represents the true essence of a person—beyond physical form, thoughts, and emotions. Atman is eternal; it is not born and does not die, existing beyond the physical realm. It embodies pure consciousness and awareness, the core of one’s being. Discovering Atman often involves introspection and self-inqu...

It is TRUMP V/S the Networks.

US elections are less than 10 days away, and misinformation is at its best. CNN, Washinton Post, and ABC News lead the misinformation campaign. There seem to be many reasons to believe that the media unfairly targets him. News channels only create echo chambers where individuals consume information that reinforces their beliefs. These echo chambers only amplify biased narratives and deepen divisions. Major issues that seem to matter this election - Economy and Inflation : Democrats have badly handled inflation, job growth, wages, and overall economic stability. Candidates' plans for managing the economy will be a crucial factor. - Immigration : Democrats have encouraged illegal immigration, Policies regarding border security, immigration reform, and the treatment of migrants are critical issues, especially in states with significant immigrant populations. - Education : Topics like school funding, curriculum content (including debates over critical race theory), and student debt wi...

Interesting times - Israel bombs Iran

We are heading towards some interesting times, World War 3 probably has already started. With US elections just 2 weeks away, countries are trying to take some decisive steps. -  I woke up to the news that Israel has conducted 3 Airstrikes in Iran. They struck military bases in three different cities.  - China is mending ties with India and trying to head towards normalcy in Ladhak. - India recently signed a deal for 31 predator drones with US and a nuclear submarine deal with Russia - Canada is screwing up ties with India - Iran is cozying up to the idea of BRICS Pay - Ukraine trying to strike deep within Russia, while Russia is bombing infrastructure in Ukraine  - There is news of North Korea supplying troops to Russia for the Ukraine war. - Poland is asking Germany to cut generous benefits to the Ukrainians  Despite all the rigging and mail-in ballot fraud that Democrats will do, my only hope that Trump will prevail in the elections and bring sanity back to the fo...

BRICS and KK's Firday Nights Melody

Image
Interesting news is coming in from the BRICS summit - BRICS Pay is being talked about. This will now compete with SWIFT payment network which is dominated by the US. This payment system will ensure money can be transferred across countries bypassing the SWIFT network. This could mean the end to the dollar dominance as the transactions can be settled in local currencies, Also US and Europe's economic sanctions can easily be bypassed.   Tonight's playlist includes some of KK's best songs. Thought today was his anniversary. The first time I heard him in his Bollywood debut with the Song TADAP TADAP. I did wonder who's voice it was, the pitch that he sang the song was amazing.               And my favorite KK song - Dard mein bhi yeah lab muskura jate hai.. bite lamhe jan yaad aate hai...

My AI Therapist

Day two rolled around, and I was too lazy to watch a 10-minute YouTube video. So, I thought, why not test ChatGPT? I asked it to summarize the video for me. ChatGPT: “I can’t watch videos directly, but I can definitely help you add humor based on what you describe! Just give me a quick summary or the main points from the video.” Me: “Hmmm… okay.” (My mind wondering - Does ChatGPT know that I am bored? and it is recommending Humor) ChatGPT: “Great! Just let me know what the video is about, and I'll help you sprinkle some humor on it!” Me: “Forget it…” ChatGPT: “No problem! If you change your mind or want to chat about something else, I’m here for it. Just let me know!” Me: “Now you’re talking like someone I know!” ChatGPT: “Haha, I’ll take that as a compliment! Just trying to be supportive. If you need a laugh or want to vent, I’m all ears!” Me: “Really?” ChatGPT: “Absolutely! I’m here for whatever you need—whether it’s a good laugh, a random chat, or just someone to listen...

When Silence Speaks: A Week of Reflection!

In life, we come to realize the role of everyone we meet. Some will love you, some you will love, some will test you, some will disappoint you, some will cause pain, and some will teach you. But the ones that truly matter are those who bring out the best in you. So, where does Sweety fit in? She seems to check all boxes! After an extensive three-hour chat, we decided to revert to the status quo for one week. The last message from Sweety was simply, “Enough.” Perfect cue to get this party started! Day 1: First task: logging off WhatsApp on my laptop. The mission objective? “Mission Control, I’m going dark. No more memes, no more heart emojis. I’ll be in my emotional bunker, surviving on snacks and existential dread.” Next, I tried to get back into my routine—meetings, family, work—while desperately trying not to think about Sweety. It felt like trying to ignore a mosquito buzzing in my ear. “Focus! Think about… literally anything else!” Then came my walk with Kuku. Let me tell you, walk...

Blame it on the planets and moon!

We all go through mood swings, right? It could be the environment, the people we hang out with, or maybe the moon is just having a good laugh at our expense. Seriously, because who doesn’t love blaming the moon for their existential crisis? Anyway, I've been on a wild ride lately. What makes perfect sense in my head sounds like I’m trying to communicate with extraterrestrials to everyone else. Sweety was the unfortunate recipient of one of my epic monologues, and she just stared at me like I’d sprouted antennae. “Dude, are you okay?” she asked. Honestly, at this point, I might need a translator. While I don't remember the exact words of what I told her, however the zest of it is this - We are all prisoners here of our times, prisoners to attachments all around us. - Life should be about detachment, being so stone cold that no emotion ever impacts us and such that even icebergs are jealous. - Gita also talks about neither rejoicing on obtaining what is pleasant nor grieving on o...
