When Silence Speaks: A Week of Reflection!
In life, we come to realize the role of everyone we meet. Some will love you, some you will love, some will test you, some will disappoint you, some will cause pain, and some will teach you. But the ones that truly matter are those who bring out the best in you. So, where does Sweety fit in? She seems to check all boxes!
After an extensive three-hour chat, we decided to revert to the status quo for one week. The last message from Sweety was simply, “Enough.” Perfect cue to get this party started!
Day 1:
First task: logging off WhatsApp on my laptop. The mission objective? “Mission Control, I’m going dark. No more memes, no more heart emojis. I’ll be in my emotional bunker, surviving on snacks and existential dread.”
Next, I tried to get back into my routine—meetings, family, work—while desperately trying not to think about Sweety. It felt like trying to ignore a mosquito buzzing in my ear. “Focus! Think about… literally anything else!”
Then came my walk with Kuku. Let me tell you, walking Kuku has changed in the last three months. Today, she looked at me like, “Who are you talking to without your Bluetooth headset? This isn’t normal!” She turned back a couple of times, clearly concerned. “Dude, what’s wrong with you? Is this a midlife crisis or just an existential crisis?”
Phew, the afternoon’s done!
As night fell, I was tempted to read our chat history. My heart whispered, “Go on, read it!” but my mind screamed, “Delete it!” After a significant internal battle, my mind won, and the chat was deleted.
By the end of the day, I felt like I was in a reality show titled “Survivor: No Texting Edition.” what a wild ride!
