Catching up
It’s been a while since we last wrote, and both Sweety and I have been juggling a lot. Sweety returned to Bengaluru to care for her unwell mother. For the past four weeks, she and her dad have been working tirelessly, with progress as elusive as a unicorn in a fog. It’s been a stark reminder of life’s fragility. Even though we were miles apart, WhatsApp has been a lifeline, allowing us to stay connected and share our thoughts and moments. While I’m no medical expert, I’ve been listening to Sweety’s updates on her mother’s condition. I hope my support has been of some help.
With everything going on, we weren’t sure if we’d even get to meet on this trip. I contracted Chikungunya from a mosquito bite, leading to body aches, fever, and monsoon flooding in Hyderabad which looked like it was auditioning for a disaster movie. Meanwhile, Sweety was juggling her mother’s unpredictable health, her own allergies, and a fever. We stayed hopeful but didn’t want to count our chickens before they hatched. We kept reminding ourselves that it would happen if it was meant to be. And guess what? We did manage to meet up! Sweety chose a fantastic restaurant for lunch, and the meal was excellent.
Our few hours together felt like a trip in a time machine—more like a nostalgia bus with a few “what were we thinking?” pit stops. We even attempted to recreate that hilariously awkward photo from our first meeting eighteen years ago. We lived up to the awkwardness with another delightfully awkward pic. Here’s hoping we can make it another 18 years from now! Let’s just say we’ve aged like fine wine. Overall, it was a wonderful day, full of laughter and appreciation for each other.
Personally, I’m deeply grateful to have such a wonderful, good-hearted person in my life.
As I traveled back to Hyderabad, I could not stop thinking about God and his mysterious ways. I get it that God has a plan and there was probably a reason why some people from our past have not made it into our present. Some in the present may not make it into the future, and some people from the past again make it into our present or future. Overanalysing to comprehend God's plan does not help, It may only stress me out more

In whatever way people surrender unto Me, I reciprocate accordingly.
Everyone follows My path, knowingly or unknowingly, O son of Pritha.
God is the director and producer of our movie called Life, and we just have to surrender to him without trying to find a rationale for what is happening and why it is happening. This is the only way we will be at peace with ourselves, and everyone around us.
